Note 2. When performing insulation resistance and withstand voltage tests, separate the LG terminal of the power supply unit from the GR terminal. If tests are performed with the LG and GR terminals shorted, internal components will bedestroyed.

principle
The PLC power supply unit has an electrolytic capacitor built in.
When the electrolytic capacitor is manufactured, the electrolyte impregnated in the electrolytic capacitor permeates the sealing rubber, and over time the electrolyte inside evaporates, causing degradation of the capacitance and othercharacteristics.
Due to this degradation of the electrolytic capacitor's characteristics, the power supply unit will not be able to perform adequately over time.
This PLC power supply unit monitors the temperature inside the power supply while it is energized, and calculates the amount of degradation of the electrolytic capacitor from the operating time and internal temperature.
The replacement notification function displays the estimated period until the power supply unit will no longer be able to perform adequately due to the degradation of the electrolytic capacitor's characteristics based on the amount ofdegradation of the electrolytic capacitor.
Furthermore, when the remaining time reaches 0.5 years (6 months) or less, the alarm output is turned off.
This function is used as a guide to know when to replace the PLC power supply unit.
Note: The replacement notification function indicates the estimated time when the power supply will no longer be able to perform adequately due to the degradation of the electrolytic capacitor, and does not include failures caused byother factors.
