As they are carbide type, the feature ability to cleanly machine hard-to-cut materials such as stainless steel. There are various blade types and shapes. Those include cross-cut, which has minimal shaking and can make clean finished surfaces; spiral cut, which can cut large amounts and enable efficient work; and light metal cut such as for aluminum and brass, which is resistant to clogging. There are also sets composed of long-life titanium-coated type with greater surface hardness and often-used carbide burs.
