Welding rods melt metal with a low melting point into the welded part to fill the joint. Types are classified by the type of coating material (flux), and they are ilmenite type that join titanium and iron oxide, lime-titania type with lime (coal) and titanium (titanium oxide) as main raw materials, low-hydrogen type with calcium carbonate and calcium fluoride as main raw materials, and high-titanium oxide type with high-titanium oxide as the main raw material. They each have their own features such as weld pool and bead stretch and external appearance, so it is important to select one that fits the material to be welded.
